Hello! My name is Aaron Isom. A little about me is that I grew up in a small town in Idaho on a farm. I really enjoyed farming and thought that I would continue the family tradition of farming after graduating high school in 2005, but my parents encouraged me to go to college. I researched the colleges that I wanted to attend and chose to move to Orem, Utah and attended Utah Valley University. In 2011 I graduated from Utah Valley University with a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Science. After graduation I worked at Utah Valley University working as a team member to develop online aviation courses. During that time we developed 53 courses in 15 months. We were such a small team that I was able to experience working with Subject Matter Expert’s (SME), Content Producers, Instructional Technologist’s, 3D Animators, Videographers, and supporting technological aspects of our Learning Management System (LMS). During that time, I really enjoyed the entire process of developing online courses so much that I wanted to learn more about the development process, learning theories, and instructional design best practices. So, I chose to earn a Master’s in Educational Technology from Utah Valley University in 2017. I created this WebQuest as a submission for graduate level course on Personal Learning Environments..
